Gail grew up in Lancashire and moved to London in her early twenties.
For many years she worked as the HR and Finance Director of the family publishing company until she retired in 2008.
She then studied on an Art Foundation course at a local college and became a glass artist and sculptor specialising in stone carving.
She started collecting miniature tea-sets in the late 1970’s and has built up a collection of nearly 300 sets from all over the world. These are mainly made in porcelain but she also has little tea-sets made of silver, glass and other materials.
Gail and her husband, Alan, now divide their time between their home in North London and their cottage in the Cotswolds. They have two grown-up children and three young grandchildren.
